SELMA, Ind. — Jeff Masters remembers the first night of practice he had with the Wapahani softball team.
The passion behind the Raiders' post-practice team breakdown — "Raiders on three. One, two, three, Raiders." — wasn't to his liking. Masters, who's in his first year as the Wapahani head coach after previously spending time on the coaching staff of some highly-successful teams at both Yorktown and Cowan, didn't like the nonchalant way they were about to end practice.
"I said, 'No, let's do it again and have a little pride in what you're doing,' " Masters said.
