MUNCIE — With just over than seven minutes to go in Muncie Burris' regular season finale against Delta, Javon Dixon walks towards his team's bench.
It's senior night and Dixon is making a preemptive exit in his final game at Ball Gym after receiving his fifth personal foul. But before Dixon walks alongside the bench to high-five his teammates, he's stopped by head coach Joe Anderson.
"I'm telling him I'm proud of him for the things he had to endure," said Anderson, recalling the moment after the Owls' 75-36 loss to the Eagles Friday night. "... You know, he's going to go off and do great things.
