GASTON, Ind. — There wasn't much of an awards ceremony following the nearly six-hour marathon that was the Delaware County wrestling tournament.
10:30 p.m. hit when the heavyweights finished the last of the championship matches Thursday night. Immediately after, clean up began. Wrestlers from host school Wes-Del tore the tape off the mats and began rolling them up, revealing the basketball court underneath. Several people were picking up trash in the stands and teams were scattered across the floor. Coaches were having final discussions with their wrestlers before heading back into the rain and onto the buses from which they arrived.
