MUNCIE, Ind. — Mike Neu's homecoming is in the books and Ball State is 2-1 after a big win over Eastern Kentucky on Saturday. The first-year head coach said he was pleased with the Cardinals' home crowed of just under 11,000, though a couple attendees stood out.
His former coach Paul Schudel and long-time Ball State equipment manager William "Tex" Ritter met up with him on the sideline before kickoff. "Those two men have meant a lot to Ball State football, (the university), a lot to me," Neu said. "To have them in attendance, to be there to support our program, I can't thank them enough.
