5 Questions: Larry Judge discusses his Paralympics coaching experience, and future in it

MUNCIE, Ind. — Larry Judge’s experience coaching at the international level spans multiple Olympics and Paralympics.

Judge, who’s the associate chair of BSU’s School of Kinesiology, said he’s coached at the Olympics that were held in Atlanta, Sydney, Athens and Rio. Judge, who coordinates Ball State’s graduate program for athletic coaching education, said he’s coached at the Paralympics that were held in London and Rio. And this year, he’s an assistant coach at the Paralympics in Tokyo for the United States’ track and field team.

Judge, a coach for ambulatory throwing events, has seen the competitive season for athletes ahead of the Paralympics affected by the complications the pandemic created.
