MUNCIE, Ind. — Matt Crenshaw chose a different path than most.
Faced with an unforeseen roadblock out of high school, he decided to serve his country. Instead of dwelling on his misfortune, he joined the Navy. And it’s that decision that has, in part, years later led him to where he is now — an assistant basketball coach at Ball State. His second year with the Cardinals will be the 2019-20 season.
For a July 4 edition of 5 Questions, Crenshaw took some time with the Star Press to discuss why he joined the Navy, in what ways that decision has shaped him and more.
