Watch Luke Bumbalough rally New Castle from eight down in the final minutes to a thrilling win. Ryan O'Gara, The Star Press
Luke Bumbalough’s career with New Castle ended with a sectional final loss but accomplished so much more.
Bumbalough averaged 31.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game as a senior and finished with 1,717 career points, a number for a New Castle player eclipsed only by Indiana legend Steve Alford. The Trojans won a Class 3A regional title his junior year and advanced to semi-state, losing to the eventual state champion. And now he’s looking ahead to a college career at Ball State.
