MUNCIE, Ind. — Wherever Skyler Van Note plays volleyball, championships seem to follow.
The former Wapahani star helped the Raiders win back-to-back IHSAA Class 2A State Championships in 2015 and 2016. Now a sophomore at Marian University, the 6-foot middle hitter helped lead the Knights to their first-ever NAIA Volleyball National Championship.
On Dec. 7, Marian (38-2) swept Westmont (31-8) to claim the program's first national title. Van Note was named the tournament MVP and her stellar season led to several postseason honors, including All-American recognition by the AVCA. Her freshman year, she earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors, as well.
