MUNCIE, Ind. — At first, Zane Fakes considered going into personal training or sports performance training. He thought he’d enter the private sector.
Fakes, who played tight end for Ball State football 2009-13, thought he’d have his own gym. The Plainfield, Ind., native thought he’d train athletes of all ages and skill levels. And when he graduated from BSU, that’s what he pursued.
But not long after doing so, Fakes realized that wasn’t the path he wanted to take.
Fakes returned to Ball State as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant in 2015, and remained with BSU through 2017.
