Ball State pulled it out. Somehow.
After a back-and-forth game, Ball State went on an 11-2 run to close out a 63-62 win over visiting Alabama A&M. The Bulldogs went on a big run behind shots from Ladaruis Tabb, but the Cardinals battled back. That back-and-forth feel was felt from the beginning of the game.
A steal set Ball State up for a perfectly executed transition capped by a Bo Calhoun dunk to open the game. The next play was a 3-pointer that could have given Ball State a big lead, or at least enough momentum to break away and take control early.
