KENT, Ohio — With a 27-20 Mid-American Conference victory Tuesday night, Ball State (5-4, 3-2 MAC) is one win away from reaching bowl eligibility.
The Cardinals went down 13-0 against Kent State (3-6, 2-3 MAC) as the Golden Flashes scored on each of their first three drives. Ball State responded by scoring 20 unanswered points to go up 20-13 early in the third quarter.
Ball State's defense held strong, its offense did enough and head coach Mike Neu made the right calls as the Cardinals secured yet another come from behind victory.
