BLOOMINGTON – IU did what it was expected to do Saturday night, in a 56-14 rout of FCS cannon fodder Idaho. In so doing, the Hoosiers shook loose of the ugliness of their season opener at Iowa, and sharpened up some key areas ahead of next weekend's visit from Cincinnati.

Idaho spent a decent portion of the first half in negative yardage offensively and actually would have ended that frame on 10 total yards of offense if not for D.J. Matthews’ punt return for a touchdown.
