NASSAU, Bahamas — Ball State avoided near disaster in the final minute of its 67-64 win over Missouri State.
The Cardinals (4-2) led by 10 points with 0:58 left. The Bears, who struggled to score most of the second half, went on an 8-0 run over 44 seconds and had an opportunity to at least tie the game on its final possession.
But Ball State held on to win its first game at the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship and move to the fifth-place game Sunday.
