YORKTOWN, Ind. — The Delaware County girls basketball tournament began Tuesday at Yorktown High School with two first round matchups.
Wapahani dominated Daleville in the opening game, a blowout so decisive that the contest ended in less than an hour because of the running clock rule. Yorktown then overcame a tough first quarter to eventually win handily against Cowan.
In the semifinals, Wapahani (12-5) plays Delta (3-13) at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, and Yorktown (4-12) plays Wes-Del (6-9) at 8 p.m.
