MUNCIE, Ind. — The Delaware County basketball tournaments, one of the area's most anticipated parts of the season, begin this week.
The girls teams play first in the six-school field, with games tipping off on Tuesday at host Yorktown High School. The Tigers won the trophy the past two seasons and three of the last four, but repeating again will be difficult as they graduated 37 points per game from last year's 15-6 team that beat Cowan 54-32 in the county championship.
All but one team, Cowan, enters the tournament fully healthy.
