Supercars will return to night racing at Sydney Motorsport Park (SMSP) next year after the success of the inaugural event in August 2018.
On Saturday, NSW Government funding of $33 million for the installation of permanent lighting and infrastructure at Sydney's premier racing circuit to the delight of Supercars CEO Sean Seamer.
"This is a great step forward in our plans for Sydney," Supercars CEO Sean Seamer said in a statement.
"The 2018 night race was a fantastic proof of concept... We look forward to the SuperNight format returning in 2020 and moving on to the second phase of our partnership with the ARDC and NSW Government, which is to establish a Supercars team in Sydney, based at SMSP.
