Despite his management's bold claims, Supercars star James Courtney insists he is "unemployed and handing out the resume" ahead of the 2020 season.
Former championship winner Courtney dropped the bombshell on Tuesday that he would be leaving Holden powerhouse Walkinshaw Andretti United (WAU) at season's end after a nine-year stint.
Courtney's management then issued a statement claiming the 2010 champion was set to take up an "exceptional new - yet-to-be disclosed - opportunity" in 2020.
But it seemed to be news to Courtney who admitted he was still searching for a drive.
"There's nothing that is done or close to being done," he told Supercars.
