Rossi secures Indycar drive with Andretti

Alexander Rossi has secured a seat for the 2016 Indycar season with Andretti Autosport after failing to secure a spot on the F1 grid.

Rossi was in the frame for the final seat at Manor alongside Pascal Wehrlein but was overlooked in favour of Indonesian driver Rio Haryanto. The American driver drove for Manor in five races last season and performed well against team-mate Will Stevens on those occasions but eventually lost out to the superior finances of Haryanto.

Rossi has been given the No.98 Honda-powered car and will take part in the series' rookie test starting next Tuesday at Sebring.
