LONG BEACH, Calif. -- INDYCAR and the Petersen Automotive Museum joined forces Wednesday night to stage "An Evening with IndyCar Legends," bringing together the most successful drivers in the history of the sport.
Between them, A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, Michael Andretti, Al Unser and Scott Dixon have combined for 20 series championships and 239 race wins, including 10 at the Indianapolis 500.
Unfortunately Foyt was stricken with the flu and was unable to attend, denying around 500 well-heeled race fans in attendance a rare opportunity to see him interact in a public setting with his rivals.
