Scott McLaughlin's historic streak may be over, but the Supercars championship frontrunner is still delighted with his weekend at Symmons Plains.
The Kiwi landed in Tasmania with five race wins under his belt but hampered by the flu and uncertain of how he might fare in the drivers' seat.
He still managed to claim Saturday's race for a first race win on the Apple Isle.
In squally and drizzly conditions on Sunday he finally yielded, finishing fourth behind winner Shane van Gisbergen, teammate Fabian Coulthard and David Reynolds.
"You can't expect it to kick on (forever)," he laughed.
