FONTANA, Calif. -- The transporter carrying cars for Furniture Row Racing driver Erik Jones was involved in an accident early Thursday morning outside of Las Vegas. The drivers of the hauler were not injured, and the cars were not damaged, according to a news release from the team.
The accident occurred shortly after midnight on Interstate 15 about 20 miles outside of Las Vegas. According to the team news release, a car pulled off the shoulder and back on to the highway in front of the hauler. The tractor sustained front-end damage, and the team rented a replacement tractor so it could get to the cars to Auto Club (Calif.
