Defending series champion Scott McLaughlin has topped practice in his Mustang before the final leg of qualifying for the first Supercars race of the season.
After claiming provisional pole in Friday's qualifying, Ford's McLaughlin clocked 1min 20.22 seconds in the 30-minute practice session on Saturday, which ended under a red flag after Holden's Macauley Jones had a nasty crash on turn nine due to brake failure.
The front of the grid will be determined by the top 10 shootout from 1435 AEDT before the opening 250km race from 1715 AEDT.
