Everything that happened in the eight months since F1's last race

When the lights go out and racing starts at Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix, it will have been 214 days -- or 31 weeks -- since the chequered flag last fell on an Formula One championship event.

The coronavirus pandemic delayed the 2020 season by three months from its original starting point, the Australian Grand Prix in March, but has also forced F1 into some radical decisions it might not have made otherwise.

Austria's race is the first of eight confirmed events we have to kick-start the new season, although F1 hopes to expand that schedule to 15-18 races in the coming weeks.
