LAS VEGAS -- Ryan Dungey capped his second straight Monster Energy AMA Supercross championship season with a victory Saturday night in the mud at Sam Boyd Stadium.
Dungey, a Red Bull KTM factory rider from Minnesota, won nine times in the 17-race 450SX season. He wrapped up his third career season title last week with a fourth-place finish in New Jersey.
Suzuki's Ken Roczen, a five-time winner this year, crashed in the mud with the lead on the sixth of 16 laps, with second-place Dungey clipping his bike and also going down.
Dungey got up first and led the rest of the way.
