Formula One bosses outlined their vision for the sport's future at a meeting with teams in Bahrain on Friday.
By all accounts, the meeting was a presentation by F1 rather than a discussion involving the teams, with F1 CEO Chase Carey and F1 motorsport boss Ross Brawn revealing further details of how they plan to cut costs and make the sport more exciting. Following the 90-minute meeting, a five-point plan was released to the media with a broad-strokes vision of what the sport's owners are hoping to achieve. The target date for the 'new F1' is 2021 when existing commercial and engine deals expire.
