The Auburn Tigers already have one of the top recruiting classes in the country with 20 commitments, but head coach Gus Malzahn is still trying to add to that. With just a few weeks before National Signing Day on Feb. 1, here are the three best uncommitted recruits that the Tigers could still land.
3) 4-star DE Ryan Johnson
The Mobile, AL native is essentially choosing between Auburn and Alabama, and many believe the Tigers hold a significant advantage. He will make official visits to both schools before the end of the month, but it will be hard for the Tide - or anyone else - to catch Auburn.
2) 4-star DE Markaviest Bryant
Bryant, a dominant 6-foot-4, 226-pound end from Cordele, GA, is expected to stay in state and commit to Georgia. However, Auburn is making a significant late push to try to land him, and they will have him on campus on Jan. 20 for his final official visit. That gives the Tigers the chance to make the last impression on Bryant, and if they blow him away, there's a good chance they could land him.
1) 4-star S Devon Hunter
Chesapeake, VA has been a pipeline of talent to Virginia Tech, but Auburn is trying to lure Hunter out of state. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder is going to make an immediate impact where ever he plays next season, and he does have an official visit to Auburn scheduled for Jan. 19.
