Auburn expected to have one of the nation’s best running back duos this season, but injuries continue to put a crimp into those plans.
Tigers coach Gus Malzahn announced Tuesday that Kamryn Pettway is out for an extended period because he has a fractured scapula, which is the bone that connects the humerus (the main bone in the upper arm) with the collar bone.
“We did not know that until last Friday,” said Malzahn, who didn’t say when the injury occurred.
While Pettway does not need surgery, he could miss the rest of the regular season.
