Two Saturdays ago, fans were surprised to hear that Sean White wouldn’t be starting against the Commodores because of a previously undisclosed injury. However, White appeared in the second half, and the sophomore QB led Auburn to a game-winning drive early in the third quarter that included a TD toss.
Some speculated that White wasn’t injured, and that, for whatever reason, Malzahn and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee had gone a different route. When things didn’t work, they turned back to White. Those rumors were quickly dispelled against Georgia as any person with a working knowledge of how a football should be thrown could see that White wasn’t just suffering from a mild injury but a fairly serious one.
