With that understanding, what conclusions can we draw from Auburn’s A-Day?
Jeremy Johnson cannot start 2016 at quarterback.
Johnson appeared to pick up where he left off following a nightmarish 2015 season. Bad overthrows, poor accuracy, and while he had one touchdown pass, he was ineffective (6-of-13, 35 yards). He did have a good long pass dropped.
Worse yet, on what was his first series of the game, he looked right at a receiver breaking open down the sideline on a wheel route – looked right at him, saw him, had him – and dumped the ball off to a running back at the line of scrimmage for little to no gain.
