Watch List Season Means College Football is Just Around the Corner

It’s not even SEC Media Days and already the pre season award watch list are starting to come out. Yesterday, Auburn Quarterback Jeremy Johnson and Wide Receiver Duke Williams were named to one of the biggest awards list, The Maxwell Award, which is given to college football’s “player of the year.”

Having started only one game in two years, Johnson’s selection may be due in part to the high expectations the 5-star QB brought with him to The Plains in 2013. The fact that he has Duke Williams as a top target serves only to heighten the expectations for the junior.
