AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn libero Jesse Earl has been named the SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week as the conference announced its weekly volleyball awards Monday morning.
Earl, a sophomore from Indianapolis, Ind., was stellar in the back row in Auburn’s 3-1 win over Tennessee on Friday. She recorded 26 digs (6.50/set), the most for Auburn in a four-set match since 2013, and was error-free in 24 service reception attempts. She also had one kill from the back row, giving her four on the season.
For the season, Earl leads Auburn with 203 digs (3.
