STARKVILLE, Miss. – After dropping the first two sets, the Auburn volleyball team came from behind in its 11th five-set match this season to defeat Mississippi State, 3-2 (24-26, 18-25, 25-23, 25-16, 15-11), in Newell-Grissom Friday night.
"It was a hard fought match as both teams got after it defensively," head coach Rick Nold said. "I'm proud of the way we fought back to get in match. We made some good adjustments defensively and came away with a tough win."
The Auburn defense was led by sophomore libero Jesse Earl, tallying a career-high 34 digs.
