“I thought this was a great team performance,” said Auburn women’s tennis head coach Lauren Spencer. “We played at a high level and I felt that even when we got ourselves in tight positions, we were able make smart decisions and construct our points well. Mercer is a team that fights for every point, you have to be ready for the ball to come back no matter how good you hit it and they made us play to win.
AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn women’s tennis improved to 9-1 on the season with two wins over Mercer. The Tigers won the first match 4-0 and turned around to pick up a 7-0 win.
