AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn women’s tennis doubles tandem of Pleun Burgmans and Emily Flickinger will be making a return trip to the NCAA Championships, this time as a national seed.
The sixth-ranked doubles pair in the country was awarded an at-large bid by the NCAA on Wednesday and selected as a No. 5-8 seed for the tournament, which runs May 20-25 at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
“We’re very proud of Pleun and Emily for making the doubles draw,” head coach Lauren Longbotham Meisner said. “Last year, they put together some of their best tennis to advance to the semifinals, something no doubles team had ever done before at Auburn.
