ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The 15th-ranked Auburn soccer team will begin its postseason run Wednesday as it plays its first game of the 2015 SEC Soccer Tournament against South Carolina at 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network. The fourth-seeded Tigers are fresh off a 3-0 victory over Mississippi State to end the regular-season, but have to go through the fifth-seeded Gamecocks for a spot in the tournament semifinals.
This week’s tournament marks the 15th-straight appearance by Auburn, the second-longest active streak in the SEC. All 15 of those appearances have been under current head coach Karen Hoppa and this year’s four-seed is the team’s highest since 2008.
