ATHENS, Ga. – Another streak was snapped Friday night as No. 8 Auburn gymnastics beat No. 10 Georgia for the squad's first-ever win in Athens. The Tigers totaled a season-high score in Stegeman Coliseum, defeating the Bulldogs, 197.325-197.275.
Auburn's team total also set a new program-record road score, breaking the 197.125 set at LSU two weeks ago. Individually, the Tigers (7-5, 4-3 SEC) set or tied 11 season or career highs on the night.
"The win tonight just shows how far this program has come," head coach Jeff Graba said. "It's hard to win here and it's hard to win on the road in the SEC.
