AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn women's golf team will play in its final tournament of the regular season this weekend as they travel to the 44th annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, which runs Friday-Sunday in Athens, Ga.
The tournament will be played at the UGA Golf Course (par 72, 6,307 yards) under a unique format now in its third year. Emulating the format used for the NCAA Championship, the teams will play one round of stroke play on Friday, results of which will be used to seed the 12 competing teams into a match-play bracket. The top eight teams will compete in the "Red" bracket for the tournament championship, and the remaining four teams will play in the round-robin "Black" bracket.
