AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn women's golfer Sophia Schubert was named an honorable mention All-American by Golfweek, the publication announced Thursday.
Schubert, a freshman from Oak Ridge, Tenn., is the 17th All-American in Auburn women's golf history. Her selection to the team gives Auburn at least one All-America selection in 20 of the past 21 seasons, and she is the first Auburn freshman to earn All-America honors since Cydney Clanton in 2008.
She was Auburn's top player in 2014-15 with a 73.54 scoring average and nine rounds at even par or better.
