AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn freshman women’s golfer Nastasia Kossacky is competing at the World Amateur Team Championship this week, which runs Wednesday-Saturday in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Kossacky, who came to Auburn from San Diego, Calif., is representing Team Poland at the event. A total of 55 countries are competing for the Espirito Santo Trophy, awarded to the team champion over the 72-hole event.
The competition is taking place at the Mayakoba El Camaleon Golf Club and Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club, both of which are set up at par 72. Australia is the defending champion, winning the 2014 event in Japan.
