AUBURN, Ala. – Freshmen Ashton Alexander and Ali Fratessa of the No. 1 Auburn equestrian team were honored by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Wednesday as each earned Rider of the Month honors for January after guiding the Tigers to a 15-5 win over No. 3 Baylor, Jan. 30.
The national recognition is the first for both freshmen and also the first for any Tiger this season.
Alexander, competing in her first collegiate meet, helped lead Auburn to a 4-1 record against the Bears in Equitation over Fences, earning an 87-68 win over Baylor's Savanah Jenkins.
