TOWSON, Md. -- Freshman guard Janiah McKay posted career-highs in points and rebounds to lead the Auburn women's basketball team to a 74-52 win at Towson on Sunday afternoon.
Auburn (9-2) finished off a 2-0 weekend in Towson with Sunday's win, following a 69-54 victory over Coppin State on Saturday. The Tigers finished with four players in double figures and held Towson (2-7) to 20 points below their season scoring average.
McKay's 23 points and seven rebounds were the best numbers of her young career, including a 5-for-9 day from 3-point range, and she also contributed three assists, a block and a steal in the winning effort.
