There are many aspects in the game of basketball that can establish an identity for a team. For the Auburn women’s basketball program, it is apparent that the unyielding press defense established by head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy has given the team something to call their own.
“Our defense has given us an identity,” junior Katie Frerking said. “We’ve realized that if we can do it and do it well, it is going to give us an edge over a lot of teams. We get really excited when we play the press well.
