WACO, Texas u2015 Auburn's successful basketball season couldn't match up with home-standing Baylor in the NCAA women's basketball tournament Sunday night.
The Bears used their decided height advantage, and a decided home-court advantage, to beat the Tigers 84-52 in the second-round game in Ferrell Center. The Bears advanced to the Sweet 16 in Dallas.
Not so, Auburn. But the Tigers still can point to their 19th trip to the NCAAs and a first-round win over St. John's to make the Round of 32. The Tigers, seeded ninth in the Dallas Region, finished with a 20-13 record.
