Sanders, a 5-10 guard/forward out of Johnson High School in San Antonio, helped the Jaguars to a 26-8 record as a senior. She averaged 13.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game her senior year, and scored more than 1,200 points in her four-year high school career.

Sanders was rated the nation's No. 68 player in the class of 2015 by Blue Star Basketball. As a senior, she was named San Antonio's Defensive Player of the Year along with being selected to the San Antonio Express-News "Super Team," the Texas Girls Coaches' Association All-Star Team and was named her team's MVP.
