AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn hits the road for the first time in SEC women's basketball action this season, traveling to Starkville, Miss., to face No. 7/6 Mississippi State. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Humphrey Coliseum.
The Tigers (11-3, 1-0 SEC) are coming off one of their biggest wins in years, a 66-61 upset of No. 7 Kentucky at Auburn Arena on Sunday. It was the first win over a top-10 opponent since 2010 (No. 9 Georgia) and the highest-ranked win for an Auburn team since the 1997 SEC Tournament final (#6 Florida).
Auburn will look to make it two straight over top-10 competition Thursday as Mississippi State (14-1, 1-0) will be the second of five top-15 teams the Tigers will face in the opening three weeks of conference play.
