WACO, Texas u2015 Auburn has advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Round of 32, thanks to a smothering defense early, a hold-'em attitude in the second half u2015 and a 68-57 victory over St. John's in a tourney first-round game Friday night in the Ferrell Center.
Auburn, paced by a career-high 24 points by Janiah McKay, moved to a second-round game Sunday against the Dallas Region's No. 1-seeded team, Baylor, which easily dispatched Idaho 89-59 in the other first-round game here Friday.
Auburn made a quick impression in its 19th NCAA Tournament.
