The National Junior College Athletic Association will honor two former Auburn football stars for their efforts on the gridiron.
The NJCAA Football Coaches Association announced Wednesday that former Tigers players Rudi Johnson and Gary Walker will be two of four selections inducted into the association’s 2016 hall of fame class.
Johnson, a running back, played for Butler Community College in Kansas, where he won two national championships and the NJCAA Player of the Year award during his two-year career at the school from 1998-99.
Johnson then transferred to Auburn in 2000, where he won the SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors in his lone season at the school.
