One of the biggest recruits out of the state of Alabama in the 2011 class, Rose had offers from all the big schools - Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, etc. He was generally considered one of the best corner recruits in the country, and was expected to be able to come in and play right away at Auburn in 2011.
Rose, out of Leeds high school, did just that, playing (but not starting) in 9 games his freshman year. However, by the time spring practice finished up in 2012, Rose had fallen in the depth chart behind guys like Chris Davis, T’Sharvan Bell, Jermaine Whitehead, and Robinson Therezie.
