On Wednesday, Pearl announced the Tigers’ 12-game, non-conference schedule for the upcoming season. Auburn will be participating in the Diamond Head Classic as well as facing a possible 10 postseason teams, including seven that played in the NCAA Tournament, along with home games against UAB, Colorado and Oklahoma State in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
Xavier, which lost to Auburn 89-88 in double overtime last season, reached the Sweet 16 of the 2015 NCAA Tournament while going 23-14 overall. Coastal Carolina, coached by former Auburn coach Cliff Ellis, went 24-10 and reached the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season after winning the Big South Conference Championship.
