Auburn, Ala. - Auburn senior sprinter Samantha Scarlett highlighted the track and field’s efforts Friday as the team was split in three locations around the country in Boston, Fayetteville and Albuquerque.
Scarlett won the women’s 60m hurdles at the Tyson Invite in Fayetteville with a personal-best time of 8.14, good for the fifth-fastest time in the country this season. Scarlett’s mark is the second fastest in school history behind Vonette Dixon’s school record 7.94 in 2000 and bettered her previous PR set last year at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
In the women’s 60m, Jonielle Smith finished seventh in 7.
